What do you see outside of your window?

What do you see outside of your window?

I’m in my living room which is at the front of the building. There’s a grass courtyard with a footpath leading through it out to the fence and the main road, a bin and a couple of bare-branched trees. Along the right-hand side there’s a line of evergreen trees and along the left-hand side is another block of flats and some bushes. There’s a guy out there walking his dog and lots of puddles since it’s raining.

What is the best part of your day?

What is the best part of your day?

I’m a big fan of my lunch break. I take 35 minutes in the middle of my day to decompress and stop thinking about work. To unplug, to have something to eat, to press play on some music and to pick up the book I’m reading. Course, the worst thing is when I have to put the book back down and return to the real world

The next best part of the day is in the evening, around this time, when I’ve eaten and done the dishes, I’ve done my jobs around the house for the day and can put my feet up and press play on something pretty. In winter, on an evening like tonight, the fire is on and I’ve got a blanket across my lap like a little old woman. And I’m watching Arrow.

What colour best describes your mood today?

What colour best describes your mood today?

Today feels a little… hmm… brown, I think.

It’s sort of just there. It’s not been amazing, but it’s not been crap. It’s been a bit meh, a bit boring and mostly pretty forgetful.

I have nothing against brown. My living room carpet is actually brown – well it’s a chocolate colour and it balances out the bright orange walls nicely. You don’t get the brights without the dark and they’re just as important.

And, in case you were wondering, orange is my favourite colour which is why my living room walls are orange. To me it’s a happy colour, it makes me smile. It makes me think of warmth and joy and sunshine and… jaffa cakes LOL
